The property is about four miles from downtown Honolulu and a mile from the Hawaii Convention Center. The entrance to Ala Wai Golf Course is also a mile away.

What luxury hotels are in the Honolulu area?

Are condos a good option in Honolulu?

The short answer is yes. Of course, does this type of accommodation fit your travel style? The Castle Waikiki Shore Beachfront Condominiums is billed as the only condo hotel with direct access to Waikiki Beach. All units have lanais, some with terrific views of the Pacific Ocean.

Most condos are larger than the normal hotel room which will give you more space. Many condos will also have a full kitchen, or at least a kitchenette which can save you money preparing your own meals. You can find discount grocery store options in the Honolulu area such as Costco.

What are the Best Times to Travel to Honolulu?

Mid-April to early June and September to mid-December is considered low season and when the best rates are available. Fewer people travel during this time because Spring Break is usually over by mid-April and most schools start back around Labor Day in September.

High season is generally considered to be mid-December to mid-April. This is when prices are up and resorts are often booked to capacity.

If you plan to travel from June–August, expect higher prices because school is out and more people are traveling to the islands. But you’ll still find better deals on packages, airfare, and accommodations than in the winter months.

Honolulu Resort Fees

Many hotels and resorts in Honolulu will charge a daily "resort fee". These fees will cover items such as wi-fi services, luggage storage and pool towels. Average resort fees will range from $25 to $40 per day. Do all hotels and resorts have resort fees? No, but most of them will charge this mandatory fee. So please be aware that the hotel or resort you choose may include this daily fee.

Getting around Honolulu

There are many rental car options in Honolulu and rates start as low as $20 per day. Driving around the island is a fun way to experience out-of-the-way places. Taxi rates are quite high. Meter rates start around $3.50 for the first 1/8 of a mile, then expect to pay $0.45 for each additional 1/8 of a mile

What is the Parking like in Honolulu?

Depending on the location, self-parking rates around the city start at $3 per hour and can go as high as $20 per hour as it gets later in the day. Many resorts will charge a premium for parking such as $40 per day.
